I would use united streaming to enhance learning. It is a great way to differentiate instruction by allowng students to explore a topic in a deeper way. The way that it correlates to state standards even helps teachers understand difficult concepts in a multumedia way.

I would introduce students to the visual thesaurus website. I think this is a great online tool to enhance students' understanding of a word. I can integrate this as a vocabulary lesson in any subject. As I model with them to try to understand a word, I would then show them this website to type a word in to get its' meaning.

United Streaming could be used for virtual field trips and to provide additional learning opportunities for students. This could be done as a whole group, cooperative groups and individual.
The National Library of Virtual Math Manipulatives could be used to give students an opportunity to work with manipulatives. This site is user friendly and provides immediate results. This is a site that I would use with my daughters at home and students at school, to provide additional practice on skills and challenge their thinking and learning.

I really like the create a graph website! It allows students to make a personal connection by utilizing their own data to construct a graph quickly and accurately. I would use this site when teaching graphing in math, but also integrate graphing assignments in science and social studies.
I also liked the Math Manipulatives site because it allowed students access to several manipulatives that may not be present in the classroom. I would use this on a regular basis to complement daily math lessons, but also for centers or individual exploring.

Gizmos would be very useful, but it needs a subscription. It makes working with math manipulatives simple and fun. For positive & negative integers, the practice section did not allow mistakes and listed a reason why, such as "zero pairs". Following that section was a short m.c. section, but my 5 min. allowed by the site was up, so I am not sure how that would end up.

I think I would find the graphing site and perhaps the visual thesaurus the most useful to use in my classroom. The graphing site was very quick and easy to use and would make it simple to produce a visual representation of data very quickly. I believe a thesaurus is something my students could really stand to be using and anything to make it more approachable for them is great.
I found the yucky site very fun and interesting but I'm not certain it is something that I can make use in my curriculum.
I would like to use Google Earth to show students locations as we talk about them. In a lesson about J.S. Bach we discuss Bach walking hundreds of miles to different locations to hear other organists. It would be wonderful to show the distance on Google Earth.

I currently use UnitedStreaming to pull short segments on topics we cover in class to break up instructional time. Rather than showing an hour long video for a 5 minute segment, I find a useful 5 minute segment on UnitedStreaming and insert it between activities in class. I could also see myself using Yucky during the human body systems unit in 7th grade. I have my students create podcasts about body system topics. That could be an excellent site for a podcast of "random questions" about the body.

The virtual math site is great practice for patterns. I liked would use the virtual pattern blocks so that students can create their own pattern and then have another child to continue the pattern. they are not only creating a pattern, but sharing it with others. Higher level students would be challenged because they could create more complex patterns, while lower level students would be successful creating a simple pattern.

I have used podcasting to enhance the tech learning for students...We did a book review on an independent reading assignment as a podcast and it has worked beautifully with great reviews from the students. Some were concerned with the use of imovie, so today I'd probably prefer to try voicethread to keep their identity confidential. As an aside, the students had to view 3 of their classmates and write a critique. On the last hour of the day before a 4 day holiday weekend, every student was engaged in the class lesson.
Also, use united streaming to build background knowlege before we start a novel or to better understand a time period of a piece of literature.

I can use all these wonderful sites, however, I found the virtual math site to be the most interesting. One of the things this site does is graphically represent place value that allows students to manipulate blocks. The value of each block co-insides with the numerical place in a column. Each column is labeled by its value ie. 1s, 10s, 100s, 1000s etc. Great for visual and kinesthetic learners.
