Day 1

The one thing I will remember today is that research strongly supports the learning strategy "identifying similarities and differences." I also liked the standardized bell curve covered at the end of the day.  I didn't know the percentages for achievement. These things I will definitely share with others.  I won't just be sharing with teachers, but parents and students as well.  I want to learn how to incorporate more of identifying similarities and differences and to place that responsibility on the student so they can claim more ownership of their learning.  So, I need to learn how to teach them to do that on their own.  The comparison matrix is a great tool, although I wasn't really keen on the presentation of today's.  And, I don't want that to be the only way.
